Can't double click Publisher documents or 'open with'.
We are running Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 and my publisher documents won't double click open.
You also can't change the 'open with' settings.
They will open fine from within publisher, but not from desktop.
Any ideas?

Finally found a solution that I haven't seen anywhere on the net.
Downloaded Default.Program.Editor.
Running this Application allowed me to edit.
Click Run>FileTypeSettings>Context Menu>.pub>
Change the Edit and Open commands via Browse>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\MSPUB.EXE"
Iv'e seen tonnes of people with this issue and never seen a fix.
People don't seem to understand that the standard tricks for changing file assosiation just don't work.
Good luck to anyone with same issue.
- Click the Start button.
- In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
- Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
- On the right window pane, delete the subkey: "Machine Throttling".
- Restart your system.
