Copying dynamic charts

I have a column chart from a table that has filtering so I can change the data in the chart by changing my filter conditions. Works great. But, I cannot paste or paste-special the chart into another application (Word or Powerpoint) or even into another
worksheet in the same workbook. I get error that says "no cells selected". I copy by clicking the chart and get the blue border around it and then either Ctl-C or right-click/Copy. If I leave the filtering on but set each filter to ALL, then I can copy/paste,
but as soon as I apply any filtering, it won't copy and paste any more. Office 2007 and Windows 7. Thanks
