Deleted emails keep returning

I use Windows Live Mail and have had a lot of problems. The main one now is that my deleted email items keep returning to my inbox as though they have not been opened or deleted at all. I first deleted them to the "deleted items", and when that got too
full, I "permanently deleted" them. They went away until the next time I went to my inbox - there they were again - all unopened! What??!!

Type "System Restore" (without quotes) in the Search box and hit Enter or,
