Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats.
You can turn off DEP for that program and then try to repair it.
You will be able to use the program, but it might be vulnerable to an attack that could spread to your other programs and files.
To turn off DEP for QuickTime program, follow the steps below:
a.     Click Start button and click Control Panel.
b.     Click on System and Maintenance, and then click System.
c.     Click Advanced System Settings.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
d.     Under Performance, click Settings.
e.     Click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
f.      Select the check box next to the program QuickTime, and then click OK.
g.     If the program is not in the list, click Add.
Browse to the Program Files folder, find the executable file for the program (it will have an .exe file extension), and then click Open.
Important:-It is not recommended to disable DEP; we are just trying to narrow down the issue.
Remember to turn on the DEP for QuickTime program.
